See earlier correspondence. Room not good; outlook - yard into games room; outside staircase to upper floor accommodation was directly outside rear window . Kitchen cleaning cloths very grubby - already used. Rain during night leaked through ceiling onto spare bed where we had put our luggage and clothes; it also came through the side window next to spare bed and ran down wall onto carpet. No form of heating available and one day in Kaikoura was very wet and cold (but fortunately we had moved on). Generally way below standard of other places we stayed at in NZ.
good location with sea view. it's close to the city centre and also not far from the place to watch seal.
The location was great and our room was right across from the beach with a view.
The room was very dated, without airconditioning, and poorly attended to.
The managers of the motel (Supan and Jimmy) were very nice people and pleasant company. They were also helpful in letting me know me know about the local amenities.
The room was a bit basic - I have used Best Western motels many times over the years and Seaview was a lower standard than those for similar money.
Although this is an older style motel the owners have gone out of their way to make it a really nice place to stay. The atmosphere is relaxed, & the games & recreation room was a nice touch. The location is excellent, right on the beach! It reminds me of the great Kiwi family holidays we had in a bach on the beach when I was a kid. The gentle sound of the surf on the beach was very calming & soon had me asleep. The owners were great, & happily accomodated our request for a late checkout. I have stayed in many hotels & motels both here & overseas from corporate to casual & would rate this as one of the most enjoyable. If you want a true Kiwi seaside holiday straight from the 60's this is the place!
The room we were upgraded to had a closed in balcony front facing the sea and the bed was comfortable
Kitchen needs updating
Wonderful views across the sea, beach and nearby hills.Close to all you need for holiday
Away from highway and noisy traffic. Peaceful quiet area. Only frontage motels had sea view. Close to library and four minutes drive to New World modern supermarket. The 'Queen' room contained additional single bed which suited us oldies. Beds very clean and comfortable.
Laundry facilities poor standard at cost of $10 per use.
Hotel Photo's don't do it justice Staff Are Super freindly and rooms were large and fully stocked Would 100% recommend to anyone
I can't think of any Negatives
The location is fabulous and the owner was very helpful , especially as we had some problems whilst we were staying there..
We stayed in the bungalow and it is very run down and shabby, but it is up for sale so this isn't surprising given that!
comfortable bed. and clean.
Didn't like that it had not plugs in bathroom so I couldn't blowdry my hair, or move the mirror so I could do it in the main room. No options.
View of the sea, room was nice and clean and had everything we needed
The fact you had to pay for wireless and it was poor signal. Places we had stayed with free wifi had better signal. This wouldn't normally be such an issue but were away from home for a long time and wanted to Skype our family which was hard with the poor wifi signal
The view of the moon on the water and the location.
The fantastic view of sea and mountains. Good size, not too cramped and pokey.
The location is fantastic, just by the water front, seaview from the room! And the kitchen facility is quite good! The room has a large sitting room! Good value for family!
